Caroline Flint
Caroline Flint is the Director of The Birth Centre. She is the past President of the Royal College of Midwives, and has been a midwife for 28 years. Caroline is the author of five books for midwives and she has written over 300 published articles. She is regularly called upon by the media and government to comment on midwifery issues. She is an Honorary Professor at Thames Valley University.
Caroline found the birth of her first child one of the most important and liberating experiences of her life - her aim is to bring to women and their partners the very best experience they can possibly have during their pregnancy, labour and the first few weeks of their babies' lives. Caroline is an acknowledged pioneer in 'best practice' care and has for many years led schemes which have provided continuity of care for women.

Sheila Kitzinger
Sheila Kitzinger is a researcher, renowned author, and well-known birth activist who supports and teaches women, midwives, doctors and doulas. She campaigns for women to have the information they need to make choices about childbirth and is the founder for the Birth Crisis Network. For Birthwise, she shares her experience of how women can get the care they need during pregnancy and labour, how to listen to your body, how to make sense of your birth experience and how her Birth Crisis Network can support women who have had a traumatic or difficult birth experience.

Colleen Wedderburn-Tate
Colleen has over 30 years experiences as a midwife, educator, and senior manager in the NHS. She is an author and leadership consultant and has developed and delivered a variety of management and leadership development processes for healthcare organisations in the UK, USA and Europe. She has held academic positions at the City University, London and Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine, New York City. She gives her wisdom on how to best prepare for your labour, building a partnership/relationship with your midwife, shifting your approach to pain and when to come into hospital.

Dr. Yehudi Gordon
Dr. Gordon has been an obstetrician for over 30 years, and was one of the pioneers of the active birth movement. He introduced water births to the UK and encourages women to take control of their own labour. He is the founder of the birth unit at St John’s and Elizabeth’s Hospital, which is widely regarded as the model for integrated care in pregnancy, birth and beyond. He shares his approach birth and advises new parents how to speak, listen and understand your new baby, and when medical intervention has its place.

Dr. Marilyn Glenville
Dr Marilyn Glenville PhD, is a registered member of the Nutrition Society, a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine, psychologist, author and has studied and practised nutrition for over 25 years. She is recognised as the UK’s leading nutritionist specialising in women’s health. She is the President of the Food and Health Forum at the Royal Society of medicine. Dr. Stephen Sandler
Dr Sandler Phd is founder of the Expectant Mothers clinic at the British School of Osteopathy. Steven has taught osteopathy all round the world for the last 25 years. He is also a consultant osteopath specialising in obstetric and paediatric cases to The Portland Hospital for women and children in London. Stephen gives us information of the surprising positive effect osteopathy can have in some common ailments in pregnancy such as lower back pain and even heartburn and what can be accomplished in treatment in the run up to Labour. Sarah Matheson
Sarah is a full member of the British Acupuncture Council, has been practicing acupuncture for over 15 years and lectures a postgraduate course on childbirth and fertility at the College of Traditional Acupuncture within Oxford Brookes College, Oxford University. Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirthing™ specialists Sharon and Glynes have created a successful, new program of hypnosis for childbirth. For Birthwise, they share their holistic approach to helping mothers and fathers create achieve an easier, calmer, and hopefully more natural birth. Marcia Lord is a birth and postnatal Doula based in North London who has 5 children. Stacia last name is a doula based in South London.
